Jellyfish

I found this jellyfish in the Caloosahatchee River in downtown Fort Myers, Florida.

This is a fantastic picture. I have been trying to find out more about this particular species---any ideas. My children as well as many others play with them on the beaches all the time--but I cannot find anything out about them.
All your pictures are just unbelievable--just breath taking--if everyone could see these--they would understand why we live here!

My family and I saw these today and I was so surprised to see these in a river. Although, we did see many dolphins, so I guess this is possible. They were so effervescent and illuminated! So cool! Do you think they really are jellyfish? Egg casings of some sort? I am doing a google search and your photo came up. Awesome photo!
